New modern metals! They have great colors, details, and smashing silhouettes! All the makings of great glasses. We’re pretty excited around here lately, there has been some really cool stuff coming in over the past couple of weeks. It seems like there have been a lot of new great designs coming out, and thanks to some great buying in Paris, by Mr. Stan himself, we’re seeing we’re seeing tons of it!
Back in May of ’09 we posted about Optical Icons. Two of the icons we thought of were Malcolm X, and Michael Douglas (from Falling Down). What do the two have in common? Combination Frames!
We really like what has been going on lately with trends in the Combination Styles. There are of course still the classic styles that reminisce of Malcolm X, but there is so much more now. New more modern shapes, coupled with great new color ways. There’s such a broad spectrum within the combination frame heading now, and we’re into it!

These are just a couple of some new plastic frames that we received from France. Our friend Caroline Abram (who designs the frames) has done yet another smashing job mixing the shapes and colors in a way that is so……French.
