In light of the holiday season, Eyes on Fremont wanted to give back to some part of our community that deserves our recognition for what they have given. This year we would like to acknowledge the efforts and service of Veterans through SOLDIERS ANGELS.
For each complete pair purchased at our shop starting December 15th through the end of the year, we are gratefully donating a pair of glasses to the Puget Sound chapter of Soldiers Angels, an organization that provides support & living services for the growing number of Veterans in our area.
It is a small gesture on our part, but one that we hope generates more awareness to a group of people who deserve our appreciation for giving so much for our community.

How Long with Eyes on Fremont:
Bill is one of our most familiar faces around the shop- he’s been an integral team member since October 2006… just entering his 9th year! He’s a dedicated employee and will surely contribute to the EOF legacy for years to come.
Bill’s EOF “Specialty”:
He’s fine tuned to a high standard of fashion & will surely let you know what will (or won’t) “make the cut” style-wise! Bill also helps keep up the visual aesthetics of the Shop, checking the frame board and displays every day. Behind the scenes, he manages the instagram images and manages inventory receivables.
And what’s Bill’s cup of tea (or highball of whiskey):
When he’s not at EOF overseeing the details of the shop, Bill probably is making himself available at the hip-neighborhood watering holes, such as Pony on Capitol Hill- Rainier in one hand and Fireball in the other! Just a way to decompress from the bustle of the business…. 😉
He’s a man of distinct style and tends toward the edgy and never skimping on accessories- which is how glasses styling is a natural thing for him! Paris is Burning is his favorite go-to for movies on a mellow night in.

Bola became opticiantry licensed after she graduated from SCC in 2009 & is pretty well-versed in finding the right personalized eyewear look for every person she assists. Because she enjoys fashion & stylish accessorizing, Bola is a perfect optician to work with if you need some eyewear fashion advice! She’s a skilled stylist with a lot of Optician knowledge to back it up, and works with our lens labs to order the best lenses for your frame choice & Rx needs.
Some of the things that help keep Bola feeling warm & fuzzy:
Maybe its her Southwest hometown roots that attracts her to rich & vibrant designs, natural forms, and warm climates- you could say Bola appreciates nature as an art form and integrates that into her personal aesthetic.
As a natural born sun seeker, she loves to travel to sunny places with her two teens, visiting the Southwest and places like the Hawaiian & Caribbean tropics whenever possible! She loves colorful, earthy objects such as the green malachite necklace her aunt made for her.

As an independent optical shop with a unique vision of our own, we are enthusiastic about making connections & supporting eyewear companies such as this intriguing sunglass line from Australia. To us, the backstory is just as important as the product.
Meet Australian Eyewear designer, Michael Crawley- part of the mastermind duo behind VALLEY EYEWEAR. Together with his wife Tenielle, they design & curate this collection with an idealistic vision of what a really cool, high quality pair of glasses should be.
Michael was frustrated with the sunglass market & its lack of good quality-cutting edge fashion offerings, so he basically drafted up the dream pair himself at a time when both him and his wife were on the search for new career ventures. As a matter of fact, according to Tenielle, his first design was drawn one night freehand on the kitchen counter! Way to cook up a dream pair of sunglasses…!

The aesthetic is a bold & confident, deftly edgy interpretation of classic eyewear lines…
Their fashion-forward looks have won the attention of celebrities such as Kat von D, Gwen Stefani, Kanye West, Katie Homes, & Marilyn Manson, as well as collaboration interests with some famed designers such as custom hat designer, Kick Fouquet in LA.
