Our Article One Collection gives back to Flint, Michigan

Article One is a really cool, independent eyewear company from the midwest that makes unique contributions back to community. They are already known for donating a portion of each frame purchase to the Helen Keller Foundation.
As one of our favorite eyewear collections, we are proud to support their new campaign to help out the city in which it originates- Flint, Michigan.
We stock all 6 models of the  FLINT COLLECTION and for each purchase, 100% of the proceeds go to FlintKids.Org

In the words of Article One’s website:

“We care about Flint, MI – a city that is home to our headquarters and close to our hearts. In the wake of the water crisis, we knew we needed to lend a hand to the community that has always lent a hand to us, which is why we designed a collection of frames to benefit the people most affected by the crisis – Flint children.
100% of the profits from these limited edition frames will be donated directly to FlintKids.org, an organization dedicated to long-term solutions for the health & development of Flint’s youth.
Your purchase of a pair of sunglasses from The Flint Collection will contribute to our goal of raising $40,000 for our city. Help us help to move #FlintFwd”

Here’s Nicole, sassy & sweet, in a tortoise P3 shape from Andy Wolf. It’s a classic, warming look that justifies her smiling eyes….

Beyond looking ultra cute in her stylish new specs, Nicole is a writer, singer, AND artisan of weaving, and makes really cool macrame wall hangings!

Customers around the Shop: Marita (the next episode!)

Here we go AGAIN! One of our frame muses, Marita, in a few of her newly claimed looks from our favorite Dutch designer, ROGER EYE DESIGN. We simply can’t get enough of the bold geometric combinations & colors she confidently shows off…
Style-wise, she surely brings her best out & about Seattle!

Marita is an admissions leader at Gary Manuel Aveda Institute by day, but a stand-up comedian, performing artist, & all around babe at any given time of the day. 😉

The newest edge from one of our favorite french vendors!

Behold- POP… our exciting new collections from one of our longtime french eyewear companies,  Roussilhe.  The chunky, block-cut acetate offers up a defined edge to the modern plastic frame, while the contrasting outline of bright color adds a sharp, vibrant finish.

We are in awe of these looks and how well they compliment so many different faces!
Here are a few teasers:

These will disappear quickly, so drop by & try one soon!

Our Cinco de Mayo/ROGER EYEWEAR shindig was super fun! It was good vibes all afternoon in the shop as friends, great customers, and fans of Roger’s came in to meet and enjoy cerveza, mexican soda & tacos provided by A DJ and A Cook!

Good people, great glasses, awesome eats

Our favorite part of the day is getting to see the cool people who are inspired by & stylishly represent   our favorite Dutch designer’s goods. Here are a few snaps of him and one of his dedicated clients, Marita.

Marita is basically the quintessential model for Roger Eye Design’s bold, exciting looks…
She’s already on her 4th pair!
We are delightfully awestruck by every one she wears 🙂
