Customers Around the Shop: Nancy Pearl

A FIRST FOR EYES ON FREMONT. This marks the first time we have ever had someone, who has their own action figure, wear our glasses. Super famous librarian Nancy Pearl, whose action figure is seen here, picked out these lovely modern red creations from the Netherlands. We would also say if you haven’ yet taken a peek at http://www.nancypearl.com/ yet you should do so now…

Jennifer came to us after having issues with her contact lenses while racing, ie a contact came out mid-race and she was without vision which ended the race sooner than expected! We recommended checking out the Rudy Project collection and she found a style that suited her and from there we took over. We set her up with a digitally surfaced transitions lens in the shield. The lenses are surfaced specially to accommodate the wrap in the frames and reduce any unwanted distortion in the lenses caused by the curvature. The transitions feature will give her more versatility when racing in different lighting conditions and will go from clear to a darker sun tint based on her level of exposure to UV light. Her first race out with her new glasses landed her in 1st place! You can check out Jennifer’s exploits on two wheels on her blog.

Eyes on Fremont Optician featured on Needle + Thread Blog!

Elizabeth (aka Gus) was featured on local Seattle street style blog Needle+Thread!! Kam’s blog is an amazing/beautiful representation of Seattle’s unique scene and style. She stopped Elizabeth on a coffee run last week and of course noticed her cool glasses and awesome overall style. We’ve been hooked on her blog ever since and definitely recommend checking it out!
