Francisco came into the shop looking for something classic and we think he left with the perfect pair. The frames compliment his style, his smile and of course his car (a bright green vintage 60’s VW Bug). We didn’t get to this frame right away and it was easy to get distracted as Francisco can pretty much rock any frame. We tried on some crystal lime green frames with emerald colored temples, they looked great, we tried on some classic aluminum frames, they looked great, we tried on butterscotch yellow frames, they looked great, we tried on A LOT of frames and most of them looked great. What it came down to was a the perfect balance of classic style and modern fashion that suited his face & showed off his personality. And a little help from a friend, who gave the final vote of approval. 🙂

Not everyone can pull off a Toyko Tortoise frame, they have a lot of texture, variation in color and lots of yellow shining through. But when it works its an amazing, high impact look that will definitely get the wearer some attention. We’ve started to see more designers incorporating the color with all of the new vintage style inspiration out there and we couldn’t be happier. It also works wonderfully in a sunglass frame as a dark lens can really make the texture stand out.

We were so excited when we found this new style that we got it in every color. Its a classic redone with new stylistic details but overall the original inspiration shines through. The frames are made with aluminum just like their predecessors in the 50’s & 60’s. The look is crisp, classic and bold. We love them!

This is a new color & style for us and we just love it! Paul came in on the perfect day as we had just gotten the frames in stock and they were exactly what we were looking for, though they were no where near where we started. Every frame choice is a unique, and you often times end up far from where you began. We love these frames on Paul and can’t wait to get his wife fitted with her new style in a couple of weeks!
